Spanish giants Real Madrid plan to take legal action against any fans found to have attacked players’ cars in the wake of their 2-1 El Clasico defeat to bitter rivals Barcelona.
Wales star Gareth Bale, not given a rating by Spanish paper AS after his Nou Camp performance, was just one of the Madrid players to have his car targeted as he drove away from the club’s Valdebebas training base.
Luis Suarez’s superb finish consigned Madrid to defeat – a result which leaves Real four points adrift of Luis Enrique’s side in the quest for the La Liga title.
And the loss provoked an angry response from the club’s supporters. Spanish TV pictures showed fans kicking out at Bale’s car, with the Welshman not the only target.
Footage shows Jese Rodriguez also coming under fire with defender Sergio Ramos remonstrating with those responsible.
“Real Madrid will take any applicable legal action against the individuals responsible,” a club statement said.
